Nara Guide Volunteers

This website is designed for international visitors who are considering about visiting Ancient Nara and its World Heritage Sites.

The website producer, Ken Yokozuka with a government-license for English-speaking tour guide, is familiar and very knowledgeable about the World Heritage Sites in Ancient Nara and has been involved in local goodwill-volunteer tour guide activities.

In anticipation of increasing visitors toward Tokyo Olympics in 2020, we'd like to assist visitors in a variety of ways so that visitors could enjoy in-depth understanding about Ancient Nara.

Our Goal

Nara, as Japan's first permanent capital with a 1300-year history, has been enriched with numerous historical and traditional cultural assets. By offering this service of goodwill tours, we aim to expand and enliven visitors' understanding about Ancient Nara and Japanese culture.
